10AM UPDATE: 12 Dead, 50 Injured In Shooting At Midnight Movie In Aurora, Colorado

10am – The suspected gunman in this awful tragedy is 24 year old James Holmes.  He is believed to have been studying for a Ph.D. at the University of Colorado Medical School, but had dropped out a month ago.  New details are also now saying “at least 12″ are dead, 50 or more injured.

 

6am – Horrible news from Aurora Colorado this morning.  Last night during a midnight shooting of “Dark Night Rises”, a gunman made his way into the theater heavily armed – killing 14 and injuring 50.  Police in Aurora say that the gunman kicked his way through an emergency exit door, threw a smoke bomb into the theater, and then started shooting at random.  A 24-year-old male suspect was apprehended in the shopping center’s parking lot.
