The late Cory Monteith will be honored at the upcoming 2013 Emmy Awards.

According to Emmy executive producer Ken Ehrlich, this year's awards show will feature “something that reflects an homage" to the beloved ‘Glee’ star, who was found dead in a Vancouver hotel room earlier this month .

“What the extent of that is, or how we're going to approach it... Well, it's too early to tell,” Ehrlich told Deadline.

"If Cory had passed away in March, we'd have had four months to look at this with a little more perspective,” he added. “The reason we're getting all of this discussion now is because he passed away two weeks ago. But we are going to deal with it."

Meanwhile, the public relations company for the Emmys revealed to E! News that "Plans for the In Memorium segment are still under discussion, as there are many television icons to remember this past year.”

The 65th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards are set to take place at L.A.’s Nokia Theatre on Sept. 22.

In related news, Monteith’s girlfriend, fellow ‘Glee’ cast member Lea Michele, recently took to Twitter to thank the public for showing love and support as she deals with this tremendous loss.
