When it comes to tradition in Bozeman, we like to do it Bozeman style. Whether it's a firework show visible from all over town on the 4th of July or a run focused around a turkey for Thanksgiving, we like to make it our own. Bozeman offers the same unique style of tradition come Christmas time. Instead of a town Christmas Tree lighting, we invite Santa himself to light all of Main Street up with beautiful lights suspended above each intersection. When does Santa visit for this annual event?

Santa comes a couple weeks before Christmas for this very special occasion of lighting up Main Street.  On the day of the Bozeman Christmas Stroll, December 3rd, Santa and any kids that want to join will start at one end of Main and work their way down to the other as they light up the hanging Christmas lights at each intersection. It's a site to see and the kids love it because they get to experience the Christmas Magic that keeps Main Street lit up during the Holiday season.

At 4:30 PM on December 3rd, Santa leaves the Emerson Center, meets the Hay Wagon at the intersection of Grand Avenue and Main Street, and leads the lighting ceremony down Main Street to Rouse Avenue. We hope everyone can join in the fun!
