American Idol Lands Huge Performer
It's no secret that it's difficult to keep high ratings as seasons go on for shows like American Idol. It's a constant struggle for them to keep finding things that appeal to you so you will tune in. I think they found something this year!Lady Gaga will be performing on the finale of ‘American Idol’ this May, according to Perez Hilton. While it hasn’t been revealed what song Gaga will sing, or what outrageous ensemble she will sport, this is the earliest that ‘Idol’ producers have booked someone to perform.
Given that Jimmy Iovine, the head honcho at Gaga’s label Interscope, has been mentoring contestants this season, it makes total sense that Gaga would appear on the show. We’re hoping she’ll perform the next single, ‘Judas,’ from her upcoming sophomore album, ‘Born This Way,’ in stores March 23.
‘Idol’ is just kicking into high gear, with the Top 24 contestants being selected last week. ‘Idol’ resumes tomorrow night.
