Ashlee Simpson And Pete Wentz Call It Quits

Looks like the Simpson sisters' unlucky love streak continues!

After nearly three years of marriage Ashlee Simpson-Wentz and Fall Out Boy frontman Pete Wentz are calling it quits. TMZ.com reports that Ashlee filed for divorce citing "irreconcilable differences" as the reason. She is asking for joint legal custody and primary physical custody of their two-year-old son Bronx. Simpson is also asking for spousal and child support.

A TMZ source said, "After Bronx was born Ashlee made a conscious decision to get out of the business, but Pete's heart was in music so he kept touring and that became a big issue in their relationship."

However, the couple released this statement together: "After careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision to file for divorce. We remain friends and deeply committed and loving parents to our son Bronx, whose happiness and well-being remains our number one priority. We ask that everyone honor our privacy as we navigate this next phase of our lives."

* According to several reports, they did not have a prenup.

* Ashlee has also requested the right to use go back to her maiden name of Simpson.

* Ashlee and Pete married in May of 2008.

* They have one son together, 2 year-old Bronx Mowgli Wentz.
