SHOT: 101 Survivors of Gun Violence in America is a new book of photography from nationally known photographer Kathy Shorr. The pictures are stunning. Faces and wounds of people who have been shot and their stories.

Kathy Shorr is trying, with her pictures, to bring some kind of middle ground when it comes to the issue of guns and violence in America.

She will be signing books and be involved in a panel discussion on her book tonight at 7 p.m. at the Country Bookshelf on Main Street.

The story is about survivors, from all across America, all races, ethnicities, from 8 to 80. Some are even gun owners and NRA members. Two of them are even from Bozeman.

Shorr told me, "Most of the people were photographed at the location where they were shot. I have travel over 100,000 miles in two years and used my own money for this project. I don't want the book to be polarizing, I want to create a dialogue"
