Lady Gaga has run afoul of animal rights organization PETA, since she would not rather go naked than wear fur. PETA is claiming that Mama Monster is a hypocrite since she has recently been seen sporting what looks like pink mink fur, despite telling her friend and animal lover Ellen DeGeneres on her namesake show a bit ago that she “hates” fur. PETA brass sent her a nasty letter, but she fired back.
Britney Spears once joked that her family is “country” when she was caught driving with one of her sons on her lap. She was commenting on being from the south and doing things a little differently. However, it’s the pop diva’s Southern charm and her big, ear-to-ear smile that impressed those British and Irish boys from the Wanted the most when they met her. It’s better than being forced to turn the other way and face the wall and not make eye contact with the star.
No Doubt cover the fall music preview issue of Billboard. Since ‘Push and Shove’ is their welcome and long-awaited return to making rock music after a lengthy hiatus that saw Gwen Stefani detouring with a pair of successful solo records and trying her hand at divadom, it makes sense! But she’s back in the No Doubt driver seat and covering the issue, complete with No Doubt-style checkered border and her bright red lips.
Tourmates Victoria Justice and Max Schneider made this adorable video medley of Maroon 5 songs with lyrics dispersed throughout, so it’s like their own indie lyric video of sorts. This terrific twosome plows through a house singing Adam Levine and his band’s songs. The lyrics are
Katy Perry and Russell Brand split at the end of 2011, and since then, they’ve each moved out of the marital abode and into new digs. That’s not shocking, since they likely wanted to get away from the memories of their marriage and start fresh somewhere else, without any emotional baggage in terms of real estate. Brand moved out first and now, Perry is renting a crib in Hollywood to the tune of $8,500 a month.
One Direction cutie Liam Payne has dealt with a pretty significant health problem for most of his life. Payne, who turns 19 at the end of this month, had a sole working kidney, which was likely due to being born prematurely. However, he got some good news regarding his organs and found out both are working now.
It’s good to be Blue Ivy. Why? Because the tot, who will be seven months old on Aug. 7, has parents who are making bank. Like serious cash. Her mom and dad, Beyonce and Jay-Z, have been named the World’s Highest-Paid Celebrity Couple based on their earnings and box office receipts, so to speak!
No wonder Lady Gaga started her own social networking site with LittleMonsters.com. If she wants to rule to a digital roost other than Twitter, she’s going to have to do so in her own space, since Facebook is clearly Eminem‘s domain.
Even though the rapper has been quiet for much of 2012, he is the first person to nab 60 million likes on Facebook. Time for a status update, Marshall Mathers!
Pink is being associated with former Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin but something tells us the sassy singer won’t mind or be cringing in this case. Her song ‘Stupid Girls’ from 2006′s ‘I’m Not Dead’ was used as a music bed by CNN when it ran a photo of Palin holding a bag of Chick-fil-A chicken. So, what’s the significance?
Rumor has it that Katy Perry is now dating fellow musician, the well-traveled (at least in Hollywood dating circles) John Mayer. Perry finalized her divorce from comedian Russell Brand earlier this month, but that hasn’t stopped rumors from spiraling that she’s diving headfirst into the dating scene (again!) and hooking up with Mayer.
Madonna won’t let it go when it comes to Lady Gaga‘s ‘Born This Way.’ Months after referring to Ma Monster’s anthem about being and loving yourself as “reductive” and similar to her own ‘Express Yourself,’ Madge engaged in a live mashup, pairing the two songs side-by-side during her MDNA tour. The gloves remain off, as she recently told a Brazilian TV show, “I’m glad I helped Gaga write it.”
