Montana State played another ranked team tough, but in the end, the Bobcats lost to #25 Kennesaw State from Georgia 16-14. The Bobcat defense allowed only one touchdown, but also 3 field goals that proved to be enough to defeat the Bobcats on a cold, snowy day in Bozeman.

After giving up a 17-play, eight-minute touchdown drive to the owls on their first possession, the Bobcats came right back with a 12-play, 77-yard touchdown drive of their own.

Mitch Herbert's 37 yard TD reception from Chris Murray early in the 3rd quarter gave the Bobcats a 14-10 lead, but that would be Montana State's last score. The Owls picked up a couple of field goals in the 2nd half, the last to win the game with 1:55 remaining.

This was a non-conference game for the Bobcats, so Montana State remains 4-2 in the Big Sky Conference. They play at Northern Arizona next Saturday before closing out the season at home against rival Montana in the Brawl of the Wild game on November 18th.
