Bozeman Area Farmers’ Markets Return for 2016 Season
With warmer weather and longer days comes another summer staple: the farmers’ market.
In the Bozeman area, we have no shortage of local vendors looking to sell their wares. Fresh veggies, local grass-fed beef, breads, jams and pre-made foods can all be yours this summer.
Here’s where you can find them:
Located at Bogert Park on South Church Avenue, the Bogert Farmers’ Market kicks off June 7 and is held every Tuesday night through September 27, from 5 to 8 p.m.
Stroll around under the pavilion and peruse the locally grown produce and other goodies. You’ll also find handmade goods, crafts and gift ideas. There are new vendors every year, so be sure to check it out.
The Gallatin Valley Farmers’ Market is held every Saturday, starting June 18 and continuing through September 10. Times are 9 a.m. until noon. It’s located at the Haynes Pavilion at the Gallatin County Fairgrounds. This is a big market where you can grab a bite to eat and stroll around shopping for produce, local meat and handmade goods.
The Livingston Farmers Market is held Wednesdays from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m., beginning June 1 and running through September 21. It’s located at the Miles Band Shell Park across from the lagoon.
Belgrade Lions Farmers’ Market
The Belgrade Lions Farmers’ Market is held Thursday nights (June 9 – Oct. 7) throughout the summer in Belgrade’s Clarkin Park. The market runs from 4 – 7 p.m. on Thursday nights. Stop by and enjoy live music, baked goods, locally grown vegetables and homemade crafts.
The Big Sky Farmers’ Market returns to Fire Pit Park at the Town Center this summer for its eighth season.
The market takes place every Wednesday from 5 – 8 p.m., June 22 through Sept. 28.
Over 105 vendors will be there featuring fresh produce, herbs, plants, flowers, baked goods, art, jewelry and clothing, as well as Montana-made products like antler art and woodworking. There’s also food, beverages, live music and children’s activities.
