Bozeman Winter Weather Advisory Through Friday Morning

The snow gods are headed our way with the highest elevations prepared to see well over a foot of snow in the Bozeman area. How much snow in town?

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow remains in effect until 6 am
MDT Friday.

Timing and main impact: snow will increase this morning and
continue through today before diminishing Thursday night. Snow
levels will drop to the lower valleys this morning. Poor
visibilities and slushy and icy roads could impact travel.

Snow accumulations: accumulations up to 3 inches for
elevations between 4000 and 5000 feet… 3 to 6 inches between
5000 and 7000 feet and 6 to 12 inches above 7000 feet.

Wind and visibility: visibilities will be below one-half mile at
times. Winds 15 to 25 mph over higher terrain could cause local
blowing snow.

Ridge Pass… Bozeman… Bozeman Pass… Targhee Pass… West
Yellowstone… Stanford… Boulder… Boulder Hill… Elk Park
Pass… Homestake pass… Big Hole Pass… Chief Joseph Pass…
Dillon… Monida Pass… Kings Hill Pass… Flesher Pass…
MacDonald Pass… Ennis… Norris Hill… Raynolds Pass

Precautionary/preparedness actions…

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means that periods of snow
will cause primarily travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow
covered roads and limited visibilities… and use caution while
driving.
