It's not the amount of snow that's concerning, it's the WIND associated with this advisory that could get dangerous. Details here:

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow and blowing snow remains in
effect until 5 am MST Saturday.

Timing and main impact: snow will develop over the mountains
and foothills of southwest Montana this morning and then
continue into Saturday morning.

Snow accumulations: total snow accumulations of 1 to 3 inches
are expected over the foothills... and 3 to 6 inches in the
mountains. Snow accumulations up to an inch are possible in
the valleys.

Winds and visibility: northerly winds at 20 to 30 mph... with
gusts to 40 mph... combined with falling snow will reduce
visibilities below one half mile at times.

Other impacts: any wet roadways will freeze over as colder
air moves in.

Locations affected include: Battle Ridge Pass... Bozeman
Pass... Targhee Pass... West Yellowstone... Elk Park Pass...
Big Hole Pass... Chief Joseph Pass... Monida Pass... Raynolds
Pass.
