Breast Cancer Awareness Month Celebrates 25 Years

This month you may be seeing pink everywhere, not only on the My1035 website. During the month of October everyone from professional NFL players to professional golfers are dawning the pink that represents Breast Cancer Awareness. This year we are celebrating 25 years of awareness, education, and empowerment. You can find all information, news, and Q&A's at www.nbcam.com. Since NBCAM’s inception, mammography use has doubled, and breast cancer death rates have declined. Still, many women do not utilize mammography at regular intervals. In recognition of the fact that mammography is the best available method of detecting breast changes that may be cancer, long before physical symptoms can be seen or felt, and that breast cancer deaths could decline further if all women age 40 and older received mammograms at regular intervals.
