Now that the holidays are officially dead and buried, studios are back to releasing new films at a brisk pace — and this weekend, you’ll have your choice of four.
‘Avatar’ has won millions of fans, but the movie’s director, James Cameron, has won a couple of enemies. The Oscar winner has found himself at the center of two separate lawsuits which claim he stole the idea for the movie, which just so happens to be the highest-grossing film in history.

For a while there it looked like ‘The Hobbit’ wasn’t even going to get made, with the lawsuits and contract negotiations and all that. But it’s coming, and fans can now geek out over the first trailer for the next entry in the ‘Lord of the Rings’ saga.
This movie looks to be pretty epic. If you don't like trailers because they give away too much you're pretty safe to watch this trailer. I would recommend skipping from 1:20 to 1:31 because it is the only big spoiler in the trailer that I would rather see in the theater for the first time.
Christian Bale, the brooding star of all three ‘Batman’ movies in director Christopher Nolan’s trilogy, has turned in his keys to the Batmobile.
Shooting on the latest film, ‘The Dark Knight Rises,’ recently wrapped, and Bale said, “t’s all done. Everything’s finished. It’s me and Chris – that will be the end of that Batman era.”
