Plowing on Going-to-the-Sun Road has begun for the 2018 season. Plow crews are currently working beyond the Avalanche Area. East side crews are working on multiple roads on the east side. Glacier National Park will begin showing plow locations when the crews on the west side of the park reach the Loop and the crews on the east side of the park reach Jackson Glacier Overlook.

Recently, crews began work clearing snow off of Logan Pass. According to GNP, an annual snow survey conducted near Logan Creek in late February showed more snow than has been recorded anytime over the last 30 years, including years of heavy snow like the winter of 1997.

Logan Pass (6,646 ft.) is the highest elevation reachable by car in Glacier National Park.

This big drift was cleared last week in Two Medicine.
