Dear Guys: Please Remember This When Talking To A Female Sports Fan

It's football season! Men and women bust out their jerseys and competitive spirit once again. Wait...women? Yep. The fan base is huge and it includes all types. Guys, when you're hanging out with the ladies to watch a game, please remember the following:

Being interested in the game (any sport) isn't about impressing a guy. We actually like the sport.
There's no need to explain each play. Turns out, we actually know them. Go figure.
No, we wouldn't rather be shopping to "get out of the house" instead of watching the game. Watch the game is what we want to do.
Being female does not equal pink, sparkly jerseys on game day.
No, this isn't a phase and no, we didn't just start liking the team because everyone else around us does. Our brain works just fine.
No pop quizzes, please. It's possible to like a team and not know every player signed to our favorite team.
We don't look at games as a "pinterest opportunity". Grab some chips or starve - we don't care. Just turn on the game.

To be fair, not all guys think this way. Unfortunately, the ones who do have ruined it for so many others.
