Driving In Bozeman? Better Put The Cell Phone Down

Billings recently began enforcing a ban on cell phones while driving and Bozeman could be doing just the same. The bill is beginning to gain support here in the valley. Let us know what you think.

HELENA (AP) — State lawmakers considered a proposal Thursday to ban cell phone use while driving in Montana, except for the use of hands-free devices such as headsets.

The Senate Highways and Transportation Committee held a hearing on Senate Bill 251, which would levy a $100 fine for using a cell phone to text or talk while driving. The infraction would not go against the driver’s record.
