According to a recently released survey, a small town in Montana earned the title of being the dumbest place in the state. In some towns in Montana, the percentage of high school graduates is much lower than in the state's more populated cities like Bozeman, Billings, and Missoula. We're not insinuating that Montanans aren't intelligent. Montana was named the 15th smartest state in the U.S. in a recent survey by Home Snacks, but apparently, that doesn't apply to all of Montana. Some towns are known for being a bit slower. In many of the state's more rural towns, residents don't have access to a quality basic education.

In Montana, a large number of college graduates move to other states after graduating. In recent years, the state has had a difficult time retaining residents with a college degree. We're not trying to insult anyone living in Montana, but some places are simply smarter than others.

Road Snacks just released an updated list of the 10 dumbest places in Montana and used a tool called Saturday Night Science to determine its ranking. They only surveyed cities with populations larger than 2,000. 32 cities were included in the ranking.
