Facebook Bug Posting Former Private Messages On Your Public News Feed?

Did you see this?  Over the past week - an apparent Facebook bug has supposedly  allowed your private messages from before 2009, to be POSTED on your public newsfeed for the world to see.  Facebook is saying that these posts are just older wall posts - but many users are saying that their private messages were in fact posted.

To check - simply click on 2009 and earlier on your newsfeed.  Check the section "Friends Posted on Timeline".  This is the location where the apparent messages were placed.

I myself feel like some of the posts were in fact messages, but I just can't remember.  I have a friend who swears she remembers the conversations now posted on her wall being private. How about you?  Do you think your private messages were posted?
