If you're like me, you would love to have access to the great shows on HBO like Game of Thrones, Girls, Boardwalk Empire, Veep, Curb Your Enthusiasm, The Newsroom and of course all of the movies without paying the high bill of cable TV. And thanks to consumer demand, that may be changing very soon.

Comcast is starting to offer a package in select cities that will offer cable internet and HBO for a low $50 a month. Doesn't that sound better than the $100+ bill most of us pay now for hundreds of channels we don't watch?

I haven't had cable TV since I moved out of my parents house because a good HD antenna and a subscription to Netflix allows me to waste plenty of time watching TV. In today's consumer driven world, a pick and choose package makes sense so what are they waiting for?

The customer's always right, right? Will you subscribe to the $50 package if it comes to our town? If you don't have it in your town, call Comcast and demand it!
