The State of Montana requires that restaurants are inspected at least once a year and they evaluate establishments based on risks they may find.

For example, according to HealthyGallatin.org, the inspectors look for the following:

  • Inadequate cooking or holding temperatures
  • Poor personal hygiene and handling
  • Unsafe food sources
  • Improper cleaning and sanitizing
  • Cross-contamination
