It’s the first full week in August, which means it’s festival week here in Bozeman.

Festivities got underway earlier this week when Sweet Pea Festival kicked off with Chalk on the Walk on Tuesday. Kids and adults showed off their chalking skills, decorating the sidewalks along Main Street.

Soggy weather didn’t keep people from heading downtown Wednesday night for the Bite of Bozeman where they sampled some of the best foods from around the valley.

The fun continues Thursday with Music on Main. Jameson and the Sordid Seeds will take the stage on Main Street at 7 p.m.

The first official day of Sweet Pea Festival is on Friday. Stop by Lindley Park for music, entertainment, art and good food. Sweet Pea continues through Sunday. Check out the lineup of events and get more information on the Sweet Pea website.

SLAM (Support Local Artists and Musicians) Festival will be in Bogert Park Saturday and Sunday. As its name suggests, the free event puts the spotlight on local artists and musicians. Booths will be set up in Bogert Park both days. Visit the SLAM website for the complete run-down.

We’ll see you downtown!
