Although we may never know when, where or why the first "selfie" was taken, the iconic on-screen selfie from 'Thelma & Louise' is a good place to start, at least when it comes to cinematic selfies. That particular selfie (taken with a Polaroid, adorably) has recently seen a massive uptick in popularity, thanks to star Susan Sarandon's recent publicity tour for 'Tammy,' one marked by lots (and lots and lots) of requests to recreate it. (This will all happen again the next time Geena Davis has a movie to promote.)

But despite the crush of 'Thelma & Louise' wannabe selfies, 'Jimmy Kimmel Live' host Jimmy Kimmel might just have made the very best one -- going both totally modern (an iPhone!) and very classic (acid washed denim), when he asked Sarandon for a snap on his show last night.
