John Mayer And Zac Brown To Play Bozeman Benefit (VIDEO)

It’s no secret that John Mayer has been spending time in Southwest Montana – and now he’s helping out in a big way.  On January 16th at the Emerson Cultural Center, John Mayer and Zac Brown, among others, are playing a benefit for the firefighters that battled the Pine Creek Fire.  The fast moving Pine Creek Fire destroyed more than 8,500 acres outside of Livingston, and took hundreds of brave men and women to battle.

The concert is being called “The Livingston Town Proper: A Concert to Benefit the Fighters of the Pine Creek Fire.” Mayer will be joined onstage at the Emerson Cultural Center in Bozeman by Zac Brown and Clay Cook of Zac Brown Band, David Ryan Harris, Sean Hurley and Aaron Sterling among other special guests.

A statement from Mayer says – “Without the tireless effort and dedication of the firefighters of the Pine Creek Fire, many more homes and memories would have been destroyed, mine among them.  I wasn’t in town when the fire broke out and I’ve always wished I could do my part to help, the way so many in the community did. Putting on a concert to raise some money for the departments is the least I can do for a town and a community that has welcomed me with open arms.”

Tickets go on sale Saturday December 15th, starting at $100, and are available here. You can also pay for premium seats, a meet and great with John Mayer and Zac Brown, and an autographed poster for $1000 at

I for one will be attending this show.  Not only is it for an amazing cause – it’s a show I have a feel Bozeman music lovers will be talking about for some time.  Thank you Mr. Mayer for your thoughtfulness.
