Justin Bieber made two big reveals during a chat with radio station Power 106, regarding his ex Selena Gomez. Neither shocked us, since they seem obvious, but it was still an affirmation from The Biebs himself.

He prefaced the new song 'All That Matters,' saying, "It was written when I was in a great place in my relationship," as his voice goes low.

"At that time, she was all that mattered," he said.

He was asked if that person was "SG," and he said, "It really was..."

He also said, "I wrote the best music once my heart was broken," when the host talked about writing about his emotions and writing about the true events of his life.

But don't pull out the tissues or throw a pity party for Da Biebs. "I'm good, I'm chilling...of course, I was definitely in love," he said.

About the breakup, he acknowledged how the public scrutiny and media exposure took a toll on both of them. He said, "When we are in front of so many people and it's such a public thing, it's hard for both of us. She is a great woman and I love her to this day."

He admitted that they are not acrimonious but hinted that they are not in constant contact.

"She… I think we're going to be the greatest of friends. Right now, we're taking a little time," he said.

And there you have it, from The Biebs himself.
