While her legal battle with Dr. Luke rages on, Kesha is seemingly making more moves each day to regain control of her music career.

Following the release of her version of "True Colors" with Zedd after a triumphant performance at Coachella last month, the recent news of her joining Diplo's Mad Decent Block Party tour this summer and her live cover of Lady Gaga's "Til It Happens To You" for the Humane Society, the "We R Who We R" singer is reportedly about to perform at the 2016 Billboard Music Awards — and she's going to make a statement while doing so.

While the performance hasn't been confirmed just yet on Billboard, TMZ reports that Kesha will have a "statement performance" during the live May 22 broadcast from Las Vegas.

"We're told she's planning to make direct references to her ongoing legal battle with Dr. Luke...and might even include images of him," the site reports.

There's also still no word on exactly what she'd perform, although her two most recent performances of both Zedd's "True Colors" and Lady Gaga's "Til It Happens To You" would certainly fit the bill for a "statement."

Kesha first filed a lawsuit against Dr. Luke back in October of 2014, claiming that she had been “sexually, physically, verbally and emotionally abused” over the course of their 10 year relationship. The producer fired back with a counter-lawsuit, claiming Kesha was lying and trying to extort him to get out of their binding record contract.
