Ang Lee's adaptation of 'Life of Pi' hits theaters very soon, and we've got a brand new clip with an intro from the director that gives us a look at some of the film's interesting visuals and aesthetic.

Yahoo! debuted a new clip from 'Life of Pi' today, the visually engaging film from Ang Lee, director of 'Brokeback Mountain' and 'Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon.' In it, Lee introduces the film, or as he refers to it, 'Pi,' saying he's been working on it for four years, and he hopes the clip helps you understand the "flavor of the spirit" of the film. Flavor! Pie! Oh, he meant 'Pi,' as in 'Life of.' And here we thought he was really good at puns.

In the clip you'll meet Pi Patel, a zookeeper's son stranded on a boat in the middle of the ocean with a Bengal tiger, an orangutan, a hyena, and a zebra. This particular sequence features Pi fighting the contentious tiger for a tasty fish, but then a whole bunch of fish start flying into the boat. Based on the novel by Yann Martel, 'Life of Pi' stars Suraj Sharma, Rafe Spall, Gerard Depardieu, Irrfan Khan, and Adil Hussain, and will be released in 3D on November 21.
