Montana Earns Recognition As State With the Best Colleges

Montana State University and other higher education institutions in the state have earned Montana recognition for being the state with the best overall colleges in the U.S., according to a ranking system developed by the research group FindTheBest.

FindTheBest developed a rating for each state based on a weighted average of rankings from U.S. News & World Report and Forbes, along with data from the National Center for Education Statistics. West Virginia and Maine tied Montana for the top spot.
