A Montana State University employee lost his life over the weekend in a motorcycle crash.  Madison County Sheriff Dave Schenk confirmed that one man is dead after his motorcycle collided with a van on Norris Road Sunday afternoon.

Montana Highway Patrol says the victim moved to the Gallatin Valley from Indiana about 0 months ago, was 50 years old and an employee of MSU. According to KBZK -

MHP Trooper Michael Walrath says the victim was the lead motorcyclist in a group of 4 and was an inexperienced rider. He came around a corner headed west on Norris Road near mile marker 7 and drifted into the eastbound lane striking an oncoming van. Walrath says bystanders stopped to provide assistance, one attempted to give the victim CPR but he was pronounced dead by the time Walrath arrived on scene.
