I have always been a dog person.  When I was young my dog would have to go to my Aunt's house about an hour away anytime we would go on vacation, and sometimes it would take a few days after we got back until we were able to go get her.  My mom loves to tell how I would always be "sick" until we would go pick her up.  Now days I have three crazy dogs that are the center of my universe.  Kobe - my black lab - has a particularly special place in my heart.

I got Kobe at 6 weeks old, and starting at 10 weeks when he broke his femur bone, he has dealt with one medical issue after another.  I love this dog, and every time something comes up I try and stay calm while my insides turn upside down.  It doesn't matter how many times my wonderful vet makes him "all better", I still worry every time somethings wrong with him.  I'm such a girl :)

This time I found a bump.  The first bump I had ever found on his yahoos (trust me, you'd call them that too).  I didn't get to worried because it didn't seem to be affecting him at all, but wanted to get it checked out. The vet wasn't too concerned either but medically it made sense to remove it.  I know its simple -   but  still as I dropped him off, tail wagging (he loves his vet), my stomach was in my throat.

And now for the hard part - the wait for the vet to call and say it all went well!  Thank goodness for a busy work day to pass the time!  Get well soon my wonderful Kobe!
