UPDATE: 1/4/19

Two juvenile females reported being touched in a sexual manner at the Bozeman Goodwill store.  Security footage was provided by the business.  Under review the footage showed the man acting an a predatory nature.  The footage reportedly confirmed him walking past one female and touching her buttocks.  It also apparently showed the man walking past the other female and then him reaching back to touch her vaginal area.

An additional juvenile female and temporary staff member of the business was also allegedly sexually assaulted by a man that had touched her three times on the buttocks.

On December 28, 2018, the Bozeman Police Department issued a media/public release requesting assistance identifying the suspect of a sexual assault.

Over the course of the last five days, the investigations division received numerous tips that identified Steve Jenkins, as the suspect. Steve Vaughn Jenkins, 59, of Bozeman, was arrested on January 3, 2019, and is currently being held without bond at the Gallatin County Detention Center for sexual assault, a felony, in violation of Montana Code Annotated 45-5-502(3).

The Bozeman Police Department would like to thank the members of the public for their support and due diligence in providing information to assist in this investigation.

During the month of November the Bozeman Police Department began an investigation involving a male suspect who allegedly had inappropriately touching others at a local business.

Authorities now say he specifically is identified as touching underage females in a sexual manner at a local business.

The suspect is described as being an older male with gray hair, glasses, thin build and taller in height.

Police indicate that he may drive an white Subaru with a ski rack or gray/silver Toyota 4-Runner.

He may go by the first name of Steve.
