For many years, John Bozeman's Bistro filled the space at 125 W. Main St. in downtown Bozeman. Last fall, it closed its doors for good. Over the last few months the space has been transformed into a new restaurant called Backcountry Burger Bar that will hold a soft opening on Monday.

The owners, Albert and Joe, are already associated with other popular restaurants in the Bozeman area, such as the Mint in Belgrade and Pizza Campania in Bozeman. I spoke with co-owner Joe Barnett this morning and asked him what people can expect from Backcountry Burger Bar. Here's what he had to say:

"They can expect locally sourced sustainable made from scratch food, great service, 18 beers on tap, and a plentiful wine list."

Backcountry Burger Bar will host a soft opening Monday, June 12 at 11 a.m. After that, their hours of operation will be Sunday through Thursday 11 a.m. - 9 p.m., and Friday - Saturday 11 a.m. - 11 p.m.
