I grew up in North Dakota, so this one didn't surprise me at all!  A new study compared the number of bars in states to the number of people who live there.  It found the towns in the freezing Midwest have the highest number of drinking establishments per capita.  North Dakota has the most bars per capita, followed by Montana, Wisconsin, South Dakota, Nebraska, Iowa, and Wyoming.  Virginia has the fewest bars per capita.

Does this surprise you at all?
