It was announced back in May of this year that 'Pirates of the Caribbean 5' scored directing duo Joachim Rønning and Espen Sandberg of 'Kon-Tiki' fame, with a July 10, 2015 release date on the horizon. Though production isn't expected to kick off until early next year, a golden nugget of info has been unearthed, and it's the official title: 'Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales.'

According to This Is Infamous, which discovered the title after an interview with Ronning and Sandberg, the fifth installment of the 'Pirates' franchise will act as both a standalone film and a tie-in to the overarching mythology. Just as the movies take their name from the Disney park attraction, so too does this new title.

Johnny Depp has signed on to, once again, reprise his role as Jack Sparrow (sorry, Captain Jack Sparrow), and Jeff Nathanson is currently at work on the script, so hopefully more details on the storyline will reveal themselves soon.
