Reese Witherspoon’s Small Wedding Foretells a Long Marriage?
What do you think? Does the size or style of a wedding have some relationship to how long they're married? I disagree on this one!
Hollywood is the land of the monster-wedding, the over-the-top bash of the century (year, month, week, hopefully day). But it is also the land of the monster-divorce. We watched Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston's $1 million Malibu nuptials with 50,000 flowers and fireworks descend into the most talked about breakup of our time.
A couple more examples: Tori Spelling and Charlie Shanian's $1 million wedding and 21-month-long marriage; Star Jones and Al Reynold's million-dollar wedding and four-year-long nups; and our favorite, Liza Minnelli and David Gest's $3.5 million ceremony and 16-month marriage.
Reese Witherspoon's intimate ceremony at her Ojai, Cali., ranch in front of 100 friends and family will be a far cry from those circuses, and that spells great things for her and fiance Jim Toth's future.
