Should Same Sex Marriages Be Legalized in Montana? [POLL]
Just this past weekend, Bozeman hosted the inaugural year of the Interchange Festival, a festival of color celebrating equality for all and acceptance of everyone. This weekend, the festival goers celebrated with impeccable timing as the Supreme Court had just recently voted down the Defense of Marriage Act which deemed same-sex marriages federally illegal. Now that it’s legal at the national level, will Montana make it legal at the State level?
The Bozeman Chronicle is polling their online readers with the question “Should same-sex marriage be legal in Montana?” I was surprised to find that an overwhelming amount of the readers have said “yes”. When I submitted my vote of “yes”, the results were 77.2% Yes and 22.8% No. Is this a representation of the direction Montana is heading?
