I think this will be one of Bozeman's new hot spots to go eat.

Sidewinders is now open on Huffine Lane; it's a great place to grab food. The moment you walk in the whole building is really open and everything looks great.

I went to dinner there last night with a few family friends and we had an amazing time. I got the chicken fried chicken which was delicious, and everything that was coming out of the kitchen looked even more appetizing. They have a great selection of beer/wine if you are of age and food-wise they have everything from burgers to sandwiches to pizza and all different kinds of entrees.

The problem is, though, with new places like this there are a few frustrations. When I got there at 6 p.m. there was already a 30- to 45-minute wait. That didn't really bother me, especially because they are a brand new restaurant and everyone wants to try it. I noticed there were a bunch of empty tables, and I asked the very polite hostess about that and she explained they are still trying to hire more people for the kitchen and they don't want to overwork them right off the bat. I totally understood that as well.

Plus, they don't take reservations which I think they should maybe at a later date, but I understand not during their first week of business. There were people coming in after me asking for a table and then just left because they didn't want to wait.

Listen, if you are expecting to go to a brand new restaurant that opens in Bozeman during their busiest time of the day (4:30 to 7 p.m., when everyone gets off work to go eat) then you are going to be hard pressed to find a place that doesn't have a wait.

Overall, I had an amazing time at Sidewinders. I think this restaurant will be a welcome addition to Bozeman and will be popular during football season. They have fantastic food, great staff and a nice atmosphere. I recommend highly you check it out, but don't be surprised if there is a wait. It's definitely worth it.
