We have seen the signs. We have heard the warnings. And if we're not careful, it will be too late... too late to escape from Taylor Swift's ever-expanding squad.

A sketch during last night's October 3 premiere of of Saturday Night Live shed some much-needed light on the frightening inevitability of Taylor's squad taking over the entire world, playing like the heart-pounding trailer for a distopian action-horror flick.

"First it was the models, then the athletes. Then it was everybody. Police, fire department, Matt LeBlanc..." Kenan Thompson wearily explains of Taylor's squad in the skit, which in the future (a.k.a. the end of Taylor's world tour) has reached a critical mass and has absorbed the entirety of the human race. What's left it its omnipotent wake is a barren post-apocalyptic world where massive 1989 Tour banners are strewn from skyscrapers, taco nights reign supreme, all the crops die, and everyone sits around on matching American flag towels provided by their supreme blonde overlord. #squadgoals

"What do they do all day?" one of the trailer's worn rebels asks eerily, to which the other responds, "I think she invites them on stage and they like... walk around for a minute or something." The horror!

Considering Taylor's cult-like squad already consists of high-profile people like Charli XCX, Keith Urban, Lena Dunham, Nick Jonas, Lorde, Nelly, Ciara, Cara Delevingne, Julia Roberts, Steven Tyler, Joan Baez, HAIM, Gigi Hadid, Hailee Steinfeld, and countless others, there might just be a little bit of truth to this particular SNL prophecy. Just a pinch.

We just have one question: Is Rihanna leading the rebel force?
