This weekend was not good for fire season here in SW Montana -  3 new wildfires have started burning this past weekend alone.  One is in Madison County near Pony, another is near Clarkson, and a third wildfire is burning about 10 miles outside of Whitehall.

About 100 firefighters are battling what has been named the Antelope Fire, north of Whitehall.  It's estimated to have burned 462 acres.

In Pony, winds gusting 30 - 40 mph yesterday sent flames 100 feet into the sky.  Firefighters are concerned about the Mammoth Basin, as the fire as a possibilty to threaten residential homes there.

Not much is currently known about the Clarkson fire.  That area is known for it's lack of cell phone service reception.  We will keep you up to date as they release information.  This fire is causing the smoke you can see from Bozeman.

Currently, we are under a Red Flag warning until 9pm tonight.  Please use extra caution - as high temperatures and gusty winds are expected.
