When you played with your barbies, did you ever wish you could stretch her clothes to make them fit you? I would always wish I could dress just like Barbie. I mean, sure, I couldn't walk on my toes 24/7, nor could I pull off the blue eyeshadow look but I knew I'd definitely rock a good peaches and cream dress, no problem. Those days are getting closer with the new Barbie line coming to stores.
Barbie, that lovely yet absurdly, uh, generously proportioned princess of the doll kingdom, was introduced to the world on March 9th, 1959. She has sparked imaginations for more than 50 years, so of course she gets her own day.
I remember playing with Ken and Babie dolls as a kid, but merely out of boredom because my mom wouldn't allow me to bring my video games, or GAC to daycare. Did you share my same apathy for the plastic fashion dolls? As Mattel's market share continues to shrink and Ken's age nearing 50 years old, the company finally decided it's time for a revamp. My first suggestion, get Ken and Barbie a Facebook page!
