Man Arrested For Arson For Helena Wildfires

If you're like me, you've been saying "NOT YET" to the recent news of wildfires in Montana. It turns out that yes, some are from "natural" causes - but the series of wildfires in Helena has been from suspected arson. Police have 19 year-old Fredrick J. Maw in custody for arson in the Sweats Gulch Complex fires, and is also suspected in the Priest Pass fire and the Spokane Hills Fire.

3 14 Year Old Bozeman Girls Arrested For Arson

It seems like every day lately there has been a new structure fire (or two), and the Bozeman Police say there may be suspects behind the flames. Three 14 year old females were arrested over the weekend for arson for 1 of the 5 fires that have burnt inside city limits in the past week.

Fire Prevention Tips From The Bozeman Firefighters

Yesterday was a bad day in fire season world here in Southwest Montana - as another wildfire started between Four Corners & Norris. Early reports are saying it was human caused, and that as of this morning it has burned 200 - 300 acres. I think this is a good time to go over basic fire safetly tips. I will be completely truthful, I myself was missing one key item on the list provided by the Bozeman Fire Department. We got the house painted recently and haven't yet put the numbers back up. The house would be unrecognizable by emergency personal. Take a minute and go over these tips!
