Tails On Trails Dog Walk Saturday To Benefit Heart Of The Valley Animal Shelter
Attention dog owners! There’s a great opportunity on Saturday to help Heart of The Valley Animal Shelter AND the Gallatin Valley Land Trust! It’s called Tails on Trails and is “a celebration of Bozeman’s dog-friendly hiking trails” It starts at 9am at the Sourdough Canyon Trailhead (Bozeman Creek). According to the Heart Of The Valley
This one-of-kind community dog hike / fundraiser is being co-hosted by GVLT and Heart of the Valley Animal Shelter and is sponsored by Bridger Feeds. Bring your pup and enjoy a hike along Bozeman Creek. Those who make an event donation of $10 or more will receive dog-related treat and goodies – including dog toys from West Paw Design – and will have their pet’s photo taken by Bozeman Pet Pics. Stations along the first 1.5 miles of the Sourdough Canyon Trail will provide trail etiquette tips, dog trick demos, dog nutrition advice and educational handouts from our event partners. Event proceeds fund GVLT’s dog waste stations and HOV’s animal welfare programs. Run Dog Run will organize a trail clean-up effort to make sure we leave the trail better than we found it.
Our love Lucy (our yellow lab) spent her early days at the Heart of The Valley, and we couldn’t be more thankful for her and for them saving her life. Come join us in saying thank you Bozeman for giving us great trails to take our doggies on, and help out our local animal shelter!
