Rock cruises have gotten pretty popular over the last decade or so, offering an interesting (albeit expensive) twist on the concert experience for fans of bands like Guster, Barenaked Ladies, John Mayer, and Rick Springfield.

The ever-unpredictable alt-rock quartet has announced its inaugural Weezer Cruise, scheduled to sail from Miami to Cozumel in January 2012. Weezer will perform, of course, but guests will also be treated to sets from Dinosaur Jr., Sebadoh, Gene Ween and Dave Dreiwitz, Wavves, The Antlers, Yuck, and others.

For the price of a ticket, cruisers will also be able to take a picture with the band, take part in an "exclusive Q&A," and enjoy the traditional cruise ship amenities, including a spa, hot tubs, a waterslide, and a casino.

Tickets for the trip start at $699. Start saving your pennies now, Weezer fans!
