Scientists discovered an animal in Iceland that was believed to be around 400 years old. After closer inspection, the animal was aged closer to 500 years. Wow!

The animal that was able to live for over five centuries was an Arctic Islandica bivalve mollusc, also known as an ocean quahog. The birth year of the mullusc is believed to be 1499. The life of the animal was cut short by scientists who were studying the creature and who were unaware of its old age.
