Wind more then moisture (although snow is in the forecast) is going to be the problem across much of Montana today including the Bozeman area.

ELK PARK PASS... HOMESTAKE PASS... WHITEHALL... FLESHER PASS... HELENA... LINCOLN... MACDONALD PASS... ROGERS PASS... ENNIS... NORRIS HILL... RAYNOLDS PASS... TWIN BRIDGES.

  • TIMING - PERIODS OF LIGHT TO OCCASIONALLY MODERATE SNOW WILL OCCUR TODAY AND THROUGH THIS EVENING.
  • SNOW ACCUMULATIONS - 4 TO 8 INCHES.
  • WINDS - WEST-SOUTHWEST WINDS OF 20 TO 30 MPH WITH GUSTS TO 40 MPH ARE EXPECTED MAINLY THIS AFTERNOON AND EVENING.
  • THE COMBINATION OF FALLING SNOW AND GUSTY WINDS WILL SIGNIFICANTLY REDUCE VISIBILITY MAKING FOR LOCALLY HAZARDOUS TRAVEL CONDITIONS.
