The wind has been far more brutal than the meager snowfall thus far in the Gallatin Valley. There is still a chance for a couple of inches to fall and the temperatures to be very cold tonight. Details here:

A Winter Storm Warning for elevations above 5500 feet for heavy
snow and blowing snow remains in effect until 6 am MDT Tuesday. A
Winter Weather Advisory for elevations below 5500 feet for snow
remains in effect until 6 am MDT Tuesday.

Timing and main impacts: periods of snow will continue through
this evening and begin to taper off overnight.

Snow accumulations: an additional 2 to 4 inches in the
valleys and 2 to 8 inches in the mountains.

Winds and visibility: visibilities could be reduced to less
than a half mile at times due to snow... fog and blowing
snow. The strongest winds will be through favored passes and
canyons.

Other impacts: many roads will remain icy and slick.
