A good chunk of Montana is under a Winter Weather Advisory through Friday morning, including the Bozeman area. The mountains may receive 8 fresh inches of snow!

According to the National Weather Service, a Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect from 3 PM this afternoon to 11 am MST Friday.

  • WHAT: rain, freezing rain, and snow becoming all snow this evening. Plan on slippery Road conditions.
  • Total snow accumulations of 1 to 3 inches, with localized amounts up to 8 inches in the mountains, are expected.
  • Any ice accumulations are expected to be no more than a glaze.
  • WHERE: portions of central, southwest and west central Montana.
  • WHEN: from 3 PM Thursday to 11 am MST Friday.
  • Be prepared for reduced visibility at times when traveling.
