Adele’s ‘Rolling in the Deep’ Now 2011′s Best-Selling Song
These days, British singer Adele is rolling in the dough.
According to Billboard, Adele’s sophomore effort, ’21,’ has officially hit the 1 million digital sales mark, becoming only the second CD to do so this year, after Eminem’s ‘Recovery.’ Even better: The 21-year-old singer has surpassed Eminem’s digital sales, with 1,017,000 copies purchased to his 1,005,000.
’21′ remains the best-selling album overall, with an impressive 2.6 million copies sold to date.
If that wasn’t enough good news for Adele, her number-one single, ‘Rolling in the Deep,’ also became the best-selling digital song of 2011, with 4.23 million sold. That number surpasses the record held by Katy Perry’s ‘E.T.,’ which has sold 4.19 million.
