Jessica Chastain Eyes Lead Role in Aaron Sorkin Directorial Debut ‘Molly’s Game’
After years of earning acclaim for his screenwriting skills (though he was weirdly snubbed by the 2016 Oscars for Steve Jobs), Aaron Sorkin is set to make his directorial debut on Molly’s Game. Set in the underground world of high-stakes poker, Sorkin’s long-developing passion project features a strong leading role for the right woman — and that woman might just be Jessica Chastain.

‘Kindergarten Cop 2’ Trailer: Dolph Lundgren Has Forsaken You
Here is the first trailer for Kindergarten Cop 2, which is a real movie and absolutely, 100 percent not an elaborate prank on you, Dolph Lundgren, Arnold Schwarzenegger or some suit sitting in a Hollywood office. This is an actual movie that has been made, and the trailer allows you the opportunity to gaze into the abyss to see if it also gazes into you…or if it is a tumor after all.
Disney Remade ‘Adventures in Babysitting’ While You Weren’t Looking, And There’s a Trailer
David Gordon Green already sort of remade Adventures in Babysitting with his R-rated comedy The Sitter, but if you're looking for a more family-friendly, contemporary update on the 1987 classic (why would you want this?), the Disney Channel has you covered...kind of. The company supposedly remade Adventures in Babysitting, except, not really. They just repurposed the basic concept and added some Disney stars to appeal to an entire generation that has no idea what Adventures in Babysitting is.
‘Deadpool’ Wants You to Get Touchy-Feely in New Cancer Awareness PSAs
The marketing geniuses behind Deadpool have been taking some unconventional tactics: there was that hilarious poop emoji billboard, and the billboards / posters promoting the film as a Valentine’s Day romance, and now the Merc With a Mouth wants you to get handsy with yourself, promoting a little self-love with some new PSAs about cancer awareness — for him and her!
‘Fifty Shades Darker’ Casts Kim Basinger as Christian Grey’s Former Lover
In Fifty Shades of Grey, Jamie Dornan’s Christian Grey alludes to his former lover / sex buddy Elena Lincoln, who basically serves as his very own Mrs. Robinson — the two had an affair when Christian was just 15 years old, as if his whole situation couldn’t get any more skeevy. Today comes news that Universal has found its Ms. Lincoln in Kim Basinger, a fitting choice for the role of the seductive, experienced and confident character who will throw a wrench in Christian’s relationship with Ana.
‘The Chickening’ Is a Bonkers Remix of ‘The Shining’ That Will Melt Your Brain
The Chickening played the festival circuit over the past year, totally blowing the minds of audiences at Sundance, Fantastic Fest and more with its completely bonkers and inventive “remix” of footage from Stanley Kubrick’s The Shining. Integrating chicken costumes, silly hats and faces, and the best possible manipulation of Shelley Duvall’s eyeballs you’re likely to see in your lifetime, The Chickening is an ode to insanity that you need to watch immediately.
Disney Promises More ‘Star Wars’ After ‘Episode 9,’ Says the MCU Will ‘Go On Forever’
With two more Star Wars episodes and at least three spinoff / anthology films on the way, it’s hard to think too much about the future of the franchise beyond that, though we have been curious about Disney and Lucasfilm’s plans for the future of the series after Episode IX hits theaters in 2019. Will there be more sequels? A new trilogy? More spinoffs? According to Disney CEO Bob Iger, Star Wars will continue on after Episode IX, and the studio has no plans to end that other major franchise anytime soon, either.
‘Harry Potter’ Author J.K. Rowling Reveals the Secret She Told Alan Rickman About Snape
In case you needed a bit of a cry today, J.K. Rowling has taken to Twitter to share the one little piece of secret information she shared with the late, great actor Alan Rickman to help him better portray Professor Severus Snape in the Harry Potter films. As Rickman previously revealed a few years back, Rowling gave him a piece of advice to help him better understand the complexities of his character, who is far more than the shrewd, dodgy potions master he first appears to be.

‘Batman v Superman’ Almost Cast Jesse Eisenberg in a Different Role
It’s time to play the speculation game. Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice director Zack Snyder and star Jesse Eisenberg recently sat down for an interview where they coyly revealed that the actor was almost cast in a different role in the film before he signed on to play Lex Luthor. And while they won’t tell us who Eisenberg almost played, they do offer a few more tidbits about his actual role in the film and tease a rather exciting sequence involving his hair.
