In a recent study, Montana ranked the highest in the U.S. for excessive drinking. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), excessive drinking is defined as four or more drinks for women, or five or more drinks for men during an occasion.
Why Gallatin County Leads the Nation in Excessive Drinking
In a recent study from the University of Wisconsin Population Health Institute, Gallatin County had the highest rate of self-reported excessive drinking at 26%. Statistically, Gallatin County has the highest rate of excessive drinkers in America.
