Caroline Schweitzer and Lauren Heemstra, owners of Wild Crumb in Bozeman, were nominated in the 'Outstanding Baker' category. Wild Crumb is located at 600 North Wallace Ave. in Bozeman.

The James Beard Foundation’s Restaurant and Chef Awards were established in 1991. Finalists will be revealed on March 16, 2022, and winners will be celebrated at the James Beard Restaurant and Chef Awards ceremony on Monday, June 13, 2022, at the Lyric Opera of Chicago.

According to the James Beard Foundation website, the mission of the James Beard Awards is to recognize exceptional talent and achievement in the culinary arts, hospitality, media, and broader food system, as well as a demonstrated commitment to racial and gender equity, community, sustainability, and a culture where all can thrive.

Krystle Swenson at The Social Haus in Greenough, Montana is a semifinalist in the 'Outstanding Pastry Chef' category. The Social Haus is located at the Paws Up Ranch.

Rainbow Ranch Lodge in Gallatin Gateway, Montana is a semifinalist in the 'Outstanding Wine Program' category.

Saibeen Acord, owner of Saibeen's Kitchen in Great Falls, Montana is a semifinalist in the 'Best Chef' category.
